Tamisha shared an Instagram post explaining that she will be devoting all her focus and attention to being the owner and producer of a platform celebrating country music called Southern Soul Music Nation, as well as a station dedicated to "the best in Southern Soul, Zydeco, Blues, Line Dance tracks, and down-home storytelling" called Trail Ride Radio.
The drag icon wrote in the Instagram caption:
"For over 37 years, I gave my heart, body, and soul to an industry that shaped me, saved me, and scarred me all at once. The ride was wild, beautiful, painful, and glorious. And while I saw the end coming long before it arrived, I held on… For you."
Tamisha added, "But now, as this chapter slows to a stop, I want you to know this: I am not done. I’m just shifting lanes — from the spotlight to the studio, from performer… to producer. I’ve found a new kind of peace, a new kind of purpose — building something powerful for the next generation, and telling stories on my own terms."
An "about us" page in the Southern Soul Music Nation website reads:
"With over three decades of experience as a dynamic force in entertainment, Will Crawford is a visionary creator, cultural trailblazer, and community leader. A veteran performer, producer, and entrepreneur, Will has spent a lifetime breaking barriers, uplifting voices, and redefining what's possible in music, media, and community.
Born with a passion for the spotlight and a heart for the people, Will's journey took them from center stage as a legendary entertainer to the helm of multiple media ventures, including the groundbreaking TIN LLC (TIN) and now the electrifying Southern Soul Music Nation & Trail Ride Radio Network. This newest venture was built to give emerging Southern Soul and R&B artists a true home — a platform where their music, stories, and cultural impact are honored and amplified 24/7.
Inspired by Southern roots, juke joint traditions, and today's digital renaissance, Will created this network not only as a destination for soulful music but also as a movement. A place where fans, legends, and future icons meet.
Whether on the mic, in the boardroom, or behind the scenes, Will Crawford continues to make history — one show, one voice, and one beat at a time."
The statement ends with Tamisha linking out to the new radio platform, writing: "This isn't a goodbye, it's a 'see ya soon.'"
